Freelance Yammer Community Manager

We are looking for freelance* Yammer Community Managers to join our team. The role of the freelance Yammer Community Manager is to partner with clients’ business units as well as end users (employees) across the client’s organization to ensure successful and sustainable adoption and usage of Yammer and its supporting tools. This role involves spending ample time in Yammer to familiarize oneself with its capabilities and benefits. This role also helps to make sure clients and their employees are using the solutions properly to maximize their usage (e.g. showing them key features, holding training demos/tutorials, etc).


The freelance Yammer Community Manager may have to:

  • Welcome new members
  • Provide helpful tips to get new users started
  • Draft communication editorial calendars
  • Write or revise user guides
  • Answer user questions
  • Lead ad hoc training for individuals or teams
  • Monitor online reporting tools for trends and issues
  • Create actionable reports to be used by client group owners, admins and other client community managers


Basic Qualifications:  

  • Working knowledge of Yammer, Jive, Chatter, Confluence, Slack and/or other enterprise scale social collaboration tools
  • At least 2-years previous enterprise community management experience in communities with a minimum of 1,000 active users
  • Participation with collaboration, social, enterprise 2.0 industry working groups and associations
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills
  • Must have a fun, easy going attitude
  • Agile and able to shift quickly to meet changing business needs
